Iowa State Fair

Well, one more day and we will be heading for the fair. It's going to be very strange this year. For the first time in at least 15 years we aren't going to be showing any livestock. I am sure that will shock some people but we have been so focused on getting ready for our sale that we just didn't have the time that it takes to get any other cattle ready to show. If the truth be known it's actually our 25th Anniversary this week and we just wanted to have a chance to celebrate "like normal folks" for once. Brad and I are in charge of the Iowa Maine-Anjou promotional booth this year so we will be able to give it a lot more attention. I am actually looking forward to that and having the opportunity to spend more time talking with people. Of course, I WON'T miss the endurance walk to the tie-outs every day. I hope everyone will stop by and see us if you are at the fair. Don't forget that everything has been moved around and we won't be in the same location. We are East of the hog barn now.

As for the calves, they will be in the special care of Ryan K. He doesn't know how much I appreciate having him here. He's a die-hard!
